Ergänzungs-Bataillon vom Infanterie-Regiment 106

Das Bataillon wurde im Jahr 1938 vorläufig in Aschaffenburg, Wehrkreis IX, aufgestellt. Das Bataillon wurde durch Abgaben vom gesamten Infanterie-Regiment 106 aufgestellt. Disziplinar unterstand das Bataillon auch dem Infanterie-Regiment 106. Das Bataillon wurde im Jahr 1939 nach Alsfeld, ebenfalls Wehrkreis IX, verlegt. Hier blieb das Bataillon bis zur Mobilmachung stationiert. Bei der Mobilmachung wurde das Bataillon zur Aufstellung der 4. Welle verwendet. Das Bataillon bildete dabei das III. Bataillon vom Infanterie-Regiment 459 der 251. Infanterie-Division.
