Luftflotten
Die Luftflotten waren die Gegendstücke zu den Luftgauen. Den Luftflotten unterstanden die fliegenden und sonstigen mobilen Verbände der Luftwaffe. Den einzelnen Luftflotten waren feste Gebiete zugewiesen. Zu Beginn des Krieges gab es vier Luftflotten. Diese Aufteilung wurde durch die rasche Expansion des Deutschen Einflußbereiches war diese Aufteilung jedoch bald überholt, es mußten weitere Luftflotten gebildet werden. Dabei gliederte sich die Verteilung der Luftflotten nach dem folgenden Schema:
